Anselmet Petit Rouge 2012. Such an alluring nose of sweet red fruits, balsamic, and smoked plum. Dear Jesus I love this grape when it's done right. And Anselmet does not play around. It's never heavy or serious but instead an unbelievably compelling vin de soif. Really reminds me of Pelaverga at times, or maybe a Cerasuolo Nero d'Avola / Frappato blend.

Jan 1st, 2015Garnet in color with a ruby core. Ripe and juicy red fruit fills the nose and palate. Hints of balsamic vinegar and wild herbs. Light acidity and a lovely silky texture. This wine is aging nicely. Very “Beaujolais-like. Thanks for serving this one, Ron B!
