Maison Albert Bichot
Vieilles Vignes Bourgogne de Chardonnay
Burgundy, FranceVery nice. Not the tremendous, mind blowing value of the Bichot Chablis, but not a bad start.

Jun 26th, 2016If I could make Chardonnay, this is what I would make. The 2012 has a bigger nose than the 2011, with hints of ripe apple and tropical fruit that is not quite pineapple, but close. Ripe with good body and a hint of creaminess from a little oak. No detectable malo. Excellent green apple sappy acidity. A pleasure to drink. Wonderful for mere Bourgogne Blanc and worth twice the asking price.

Nov 30th, 2014This 2011 Chardonnay is 80% stainless. There are slight vanillins on the nose; the palate has a spicy finish with a very nice malic acidity, very well balanced.

Jun 1st, 2024No oak, smooth flavors, a bit mineral, a bit melon. Held up shockingly well to a cheese board.
