Classic jammy back and blue fruits on the nose supported by new oak and spice. Palate was much the same with good concentration of fruit and a soft mouthfeel. The wine was missing the green pepper and tannin it might have once had, but still maintained some acidity. Finish was medium and soft. Enjoyable bottle overall.

Spot-on classic Napa Cabernet. Small family property from Calistoga. Black fruit, vanilla eucalyptus. Plush, ripe tannins.

Intense dark fruits & spices intermingled with perfumed essence of prune, fig, molasses, menthol, clove, licorice, and sweet cherry pipe tobacco. Reminds me of a more feminine aged Caymus SS 👌🏻 Delicious but lacks the staying power. Structure feels a bit loose, almost as if it’s disintegrating and unraveling at a quicker-than-normal rate.

Great deal at $20. Wine has depth and brightness of dark berries with a really pleasant finishing taste as well.

Nov 7th, 2016Decanted for 3 hours and goodness, what a fantastic wine. Fruit intermingled with anise, vanilla and eucalyptus with menthol and fennel on the finish. Absolutely superb; huge fan of this wine.
