Deep dark ruby red. Very clear no presence of sediment. Notes of boiled blackberry caramel wood chips and alcohol. Black pepper spice. Chalk? Hot alcohol at 15.5%. Tannins are medium minus. Leaves a rounded mouthfeel with bold burn of alcohol. Could use a few years of age but afraid of passing its prime. Not upset with this wine or a great fan.

Color of ruby plus purple. Nose of crayon, aldehyde, some strawberry, oak, some tobacco leaves, a bit spice in the nasal cavity. Nose is plenty. Taste is silky, slight sweet, ripe grapes, a bit zest, vanilla, a bit peppery, oak, almost no tannins, tasty and soft. Aftertaste shows some more oak and warmth. A good one.
