Nose: originally-Strong mineral aspect with, maybe, a little hidden violet... I don't smell any fruit at all, but there is almost a little petrol aspect going on. However, after a while in the glass it opened up. The petrol practically vanishes and slightly sour fruit appears. Palate: great mouth feel with sour cherry (not the sour fruit on the nose) and good tannin.

Big, bold, young yet still approachable with 30min in the glass. Volcanic soil is the star along with bright, focused red cherry and a hint of exotic spice

Very disappointing aglianico. Muddy flavors, without much backbone.

Plum aromas followed by a palate with raisins, dark chocolate, and smokiness. Great with pizza.

Earthy, acidic, dry. Completely unexpected but delicious.

Smells like berries, chocolate, and wet paint, even a spice cabinet after it opens a bit. Tastes jammy, and the critics aren't joking about the tannins in the aglianico grape. Mellows as it opens but we had it decanted for hours before it was smooth. Very good but too dry for me to drink on its own.
