2003 vintage. A totally unknown producer to me,and hard to find information, not sure if this estate still exists. Guide Hachette mentions the 1998 and 1999 vintages. Apparently, it's a small 2 hectares vineyard in the René sector in the west of the appellation , planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. 2003 was a very tricky vintage for Pomerol, but this held up surprisingly well. The colour is still quite solid for the age. Dried fruits and leather. A bit rustic, but still enjoyable. An interesting impression of mint in the aftertaste. Abv. 13%.
