This is a good example of a wine that's difficult to score. It has a distinctive, and pseudo-classic style that is a hypothetical manipulation of a North Coast Cabernet from the 1980s, near-ripe and extracted. Luden's, cedar, and laden with menthol. I would also not disagree with calling this cherry cough syrup.
