Wine 2 of decadent lunch, paired with duck econfit and mushroom and spinach fricassee. Clear medium Ruby color, medium body and high acidity. Clean, medium intensity nose with lots of plum wafting from the glass. Fruit forward on the palate, with plum, pepper, earth and leather notes leading to a smooth low tannin finish. Tasty wine and very good value. Pairing worked well.
