Solid but nothing special. Oak and vanilla notes, some red fruit with plum in the nose. It's not bad for a $15 bottle, but overall just ok.

1 person found it helpfulDec 26th, 2015[Tasted 8/9/16] IMHO this waaaaaaaaay overachieves @ COSTCO's $8.99. Initially purchased for immediate consumption [& one can certainly utilize it thus], I hope NOT to touch my remaining 2 bottles 'til at least 2018, as, IMHO, this currently stalwart offering is likely to get even better. [And to think COSTCO had no hype whatsoever on this.] :(

Aug 22nd, 2016Oily smooth. HUGE musty oak on the nose, black cherry, juicy residual sugar fruit on the palate. Every sip is different--this is fantastically complex and layered. Violet, icing, canned black cherries, buttery, caramel... This is a PERFECT sipping wine. I'm a fan.
