Revisiting this vintage, almost three years since my first review. Truly a stunning wine at this price point. It has developed a honeycomb and golden apple quality that is reminiscent of Loire chenin, and a combination of minerality and richness that suggests Alsace. But enough with the banal comparisons; this stands on its own as an outstanding white from indigenous varieties. A tad volatile, but it works well for the style. Terrific food companion and one of the finest values out there.

Delicious and incredibly food friendly white wine. Textured and offering the perfect compliment to level-up your next meal.

This delivers the goods, and it’s a steal. I’m increasingly turning my customers on to these traditional Portuguese varietals, and this barrel-fermented style is an excellent and often far less expensive alternative to oaked Chardonnay.
