Dense inky purple. Not much in nose, but smooth cherry, berry and black currant in mouth, with slight seed bitterness in finish. Restrained in tinto style. Easy drinking red now, but might be worth aging a year or two.

I have trouble with Portuguese reds sometimes, but this is rustic in a good way. A little acid, a little bramble, a little smoke.

Silky, but young with lots of growth potential. I got a garrigue taste of wild thyme and black fruits, the Baga seems dark like Tannat, but not in these old vines tended by Luis Pato. A great value!
