Deep ruby red. Menthol and dark red fruits on the nose. Firm tannins, medium bright acidity on the palate which echoes the nose. Could cellar for a very long time, — Pato says "more than 15 years" — but that space would be better given over to something slightly more high-end. Enjoy it now with gamey meats or hard cheeses

Dense inky purple. Not much in nose, but smooth cherry, berry and black currant in mouth, with slight seed bitterness in finish. Restrained in tinto style. Easy drinking red now, but might be worth aging a year or two.

Very light up top, heavy on the finish, light on tannins, light on alcohol. For $12 or $13 it was right up our alley.

Vibrating between black raspberry & a favorite leather jacket, this brings a smooth lingering taste of unassuming greatness. Built to last and to give immediate pleasure like a great song, Luis Pato wines are that rare thing: affordable, dependable, and thrillingly delicious every time!
