Red w brown tint, initial nose of black cherry and anise, with dried hibiscus and gentian (or some sort of bitter root). Fruit gradually builds on palate from underripe raspberry into an intense cherry, dried blueberry, red licorice and heady earth. Finishes with muscular smooth tannins.

Surprisingly good for the $. $11 for a 375 ml at wine club. Good balance of red and a hjnt dark fruit on nose, mixed with a little leather and fresh earth. Deep fresh darker berry palate with just enough funk, mineral and smokiness to make me very happy.
