At first I thought there was a fault because it was so funky... after it sat in the glass for a bit, it mellowed out but still, it had something odd to me. I typically like the "forest floor" type flavors in Pinot but this one was turning me off. What I realized was there was a bit of a chemical perm smell at the end that was killing it for me. I still wonder if there was something faulty on this bottle

Little barnyard on aromas at first. Blows off with some work and is reminiscent of cherry. Taste is very smoky and dense.

Kim Crawfords new endeavor in central otago. Dark cherry fruit with a lot of earth tones and musty mushrooms. The wine lacks harmony and some of its elements fight against each other, but it does remind you of the remarkable variety of Pinot noir!! Not worth it for the price.
