Very linear. Not as expressive as I would have wanted.

2018 Extra Brut is energy bottled: bright, focused, and quietly commanding. Chardonnay leads with finesse, Pinot Noir adds backbone, and the whole thing finishes like a confident wink. Yeast and apple on the nose

Good but not a very dynamic tastes. Would opt for a different champagne of similar quality over this one in the future

Shimmering light gold with a slight touch of green. Medium sized bubbles. Toasted almonds are the predominant note on the nose. The fruit aromas are quite ripe featuring apricots and lemon. A faint touch of a smear of honey.

70/30 Chardonnay/Pinot Noir and hailing from Hautvillers which, as the back label helpfully reminds, is the site of the esteemed Dom Perignon. This may be one of the first 12’s I’ve tasted where I believe more time is necessary before it truly blossoms. Terrific QPR but needs a few more years.
