Dark ruby in color with a dark purple rim.

On the nose, black currants, black cherries, blackberries, licorice, cloves, smoke, wood, vanilla, spices and peppercorn.

Full bodied and rich, with medium plus acidity and nice looking legs.

Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, cherries, plums, black licorice, cloves, spices, cedar, vanilla, earth and eucalyptus.

Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and spices.

A nice everyday Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County. Enjoyable by itself and very spicy (after 90 minutes of opening up).

Nicely balanced, but not very complex. Would pair nicely with lamb or beef dishes. Needs 60 minutes of airtime. I find that this vintage is better than the previous ones.

Could benefit some, from one more year in the bottle. Right now it has too much cloves for my taste.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

Was worried by the sediment around the cork. Turned out to be okay. Blackberry and cherry. Sulphites noticeable.

Always a good go-to cab. Ready to drink. Very smooth with laid back berries. Doesn't overpower the gnocchi.

A nice value. Let it "breathe" to truly enjoy.

Deep ruby color, cherries, went well with a slow-cooker beef stew. I would buy this again.

This bodes well for the 2014 louis martini alexander valley cab that comes out in spring (and got 97 pts parker). I'd say the 2014 concannon paso robles cab is better at the same price.
