Dec 24th, 2014I don't typically buy / have anything to do with Louis Latour wines, but this was a quite generous gift. This showed impressively at first, but then the finish seemed to fall apart after a couple hours open and become disjointed a bit; a layer of lemon over here; some acidity here; some wood spice oaky layers in this corner over here somewhere behind a vaguely Meursault-like salinity. If only these heavily-etched elements could integrate somehow. Maybe with time this will happen to this wine. I'm not going to complain given the price I paid, but hey, something about the Louis Latour brand seems a bit mass-produced and flaky. Gets fresh fishy, saccharine and minty. Perhaps I am being unfair because of my skepticism vis à vis the Latour brand. Although, in 08, if you can't put together a marvelous 1er cru Puligny you just gotta pack your bags, I'd think.

Jan 10th, 2014Pop and pour. A prodigious straw color. On the nose: subtle notes of pear, almond, green apple, caramel, and orange peel. Taste: rich, smooth wine with pear, lemon, honey, vanilla wafer, and minerals. YUM!

Jul 28th, 20241995 and still tastes great! Alcohol separated but a quick decanting and it blended well. Lemon and flower. Really smooth. Last one on Earth! Gave me a small hangover

Sep 5th, 2021I wish I was more of an expert on white wines. However, it doesn’t take an expert to recognize and discover this delicious, buttery white. It survived all these years bottled up and despite turning a little gold in color, it was simply sensational!

Mar 23rd, 2020Best wine i have drank in the last 3 years - perfect wine for an afternoon on the beach with some cheese and crackers; a very pleasant nose right up front; vanilla, apple and pears to the nose; buttery on the end with just a bit of acid; fruity but with a complex set of flavours - vanilla, pears were prevalent;

Dec 15th, 2017Butter, apple and oak; I prefer these with more acidity. I was a little late on this one.
