Couvent des Jacobins Bourgogne Chardonnay

Lime and citrus on nose with nutty aromatics and a modern western twang of pineapple juice on nose and palate - a light oak touch. Ready to drink now. Great producer in an excellent year for white burgundy. This is a good Village White Bourgogne.

Nose of lemon citrus. From the excellent 2014 vintage for White Burgundy. Very good for Entry Level Blanc Bourgogne from a reputable producer. Reasonable plumpness but overall Citric Acid dominates in a good way. Drink now to 1 or 2 years.

Drank this head to head with Leeuwin Estate’s Prelude Chardonnay their 2nd ranked cuvée. The Bourgogne coming from the highly regarded 2014 vintage for white burgundy. Vanilla oak apparent and quite new world in its approach but the Leeuwins riper Stone fruits won me over.

Lite för lätt och intetsägande. Dracks till Ostron och krabba.

Ett bra dryckesvin. Underbar producent men den här behöver några fler år för att riktigt blomma ut smakerna.
