Vieilles Vignes Moulin-à-Vent Gamay

A little more generous than previous bottles.

Reductive. Not as delicious as hoped.

Carbonique. More than a little Brett. Not quite clean but nice enough drink. Gassy. Won’t be stable.

Liked it this time. Bright and juicy.

Beautiful nose. Bouquet of flowers, potpourri, sour cherry, and minerals/rocks/earth. Deliciously gulpable. Fine tannins and tasting great, I'd love to see this bad boy evolve with a few years in the cellar.

Third day. Brooding, rich, intense, granitic, grippy, unctuous. Old-school, vinified Burgundy-style; an all-time classic. #moulinavent #gamay

East way to start the chanterelle feast

Serious and nuanced nose that shows very attractive red currant, raspberry and black cherry nose along with wet rose and a hint of smokey granite. Good balance in the mouth with a fresh red berry fruit acidity that's nicely balanced with light silky tannin and a pleasingly dry finish

Lovely. Cherries, peppermint, earth. Cru Beaujoiais!
