Mmmm Chardonnay, who’s with me?

A massive thanks to Lou Miranda Estate, for sending over this delectable sample. The ‘Leone’ 2018 Barossa Valley Chardonnay has only just been released after spending 7 months of maturing in French oak barrels. Retailing for $28 via www.loumirandaestate.com.au

In the glass it’s a golden yellow sunrise colour. The nose is incredibly distinctive, think popcorn, cream brûlée with that caramelised crunch, moss and dried apricots. Complex yet incredibly inviting. In the mouth it’s smooth and creamy with juicy lemons and honeyed nuts, apricots and a hint of flint. An absolute joy to drink.
