Nice and floral on the dry nose. Bone dry palate showing slight oak. There IS oak!

Caveat: this is the first Torrontés I’ve ever had. It is intensely fruity and floral. Lychee, pear, yellow apple, pineapple, guava, and citrus for fruit. Honeysuckle and magnolia for flowers. Tastes much sweeter than actually is. Long finish which is somewhat reminiscent of Chardonnay; perhaps because aged in French barrels? This was an interesting experience, but one that I feel no need to repeat.

Really enjoyed this wine. Full of fruit and stood up well to the spicy shrimp dish we enjoyed for dinner.
