Dark blood red in color. A big fruity nose of blackberry, raspberry and cherry. Fruit forward in the palate with more blackberry and dark cherry. The finish is clean with chewy tannins and moderate acid. I’m not detecting much of the pencil lead that normally clues me to a Malbec, but this is a young and brash wine that should mellow over time. Decanting at this age is a must. Excellent value at the teen price point. — 6 years ago
Extravagantly fruity aroma full of black currant, plum, berries, and small hints of rosemary and tobacco. Equally rich and juicy on the palate, with a long, concentrated finish. Excellent Cab but risks overpowering most dishes. — 12 years ago
Great Malbec with deep notes. From Mendoza, Argentina. — 5 years ago
Nice and floral on the dry nose. Bone dry palate showing slight oak. There IS oak! — 9 years ago
Bright acid, lively with elements of vanilla, oak, and citrus. Rich “chardonnay” finish. Rich warmth makes the wine feel like it has a higher alcohol percentage than it does (13.5%). — 6 years ago
Mocha nose. Lush palate. — 9 years ago

Had this in celebration of defending my doctoral dissertation. It was lovely, robust, and highly alcoholic. — 4 years ago
