Deep fruit, hardly any acidity. Very easy drinking. Need not pair with hearty food, good with dessert!

Definitely taste the blackberry notes. I can imagine drinking this with Christmas dinner.

Black cherry, licorice, chocolate, nutmeg and black pepper. Not as full as some other Washington Syrahs that I've had but a nice round mouth feel that would be nice with roast meats and stews.

Cool hipster label. Black and white. So dark color. Smells savory. Hint of fried foods. Maybe plums with crème brûlée? Strange but very interesting nose. Flavors are jammy, extracted and ripe. Complex. Bit ripe on finish.

Cool monochromatic label art. Screw-top. Red-maroon color. Little lighter than my favorite Syrahs tend to be. Nose is a bit heavy on the oak and riper fruit side of things. Flavors are also fruit soup. Bit of acid slips through, but this is mostly a New World Red type of wine. It will appeal to many, but not my type of Syrah. Not funk and no bite.

I love the subtle smell of oak and the way it pairs with simple spices like black pepper. It is full-bodied and will definitely be present for my anniversary dinners from now on.

Nice fruity solid Syrah and a good value. I'd serve it to the relatives anytime!
