This could pretty accurately be called 'generic red wine.' Not offensive, but there isn't much to recommend it, either. Seems like the varieties don't mesh well; there's no sense of harmony to the blend. Just feels like blended leftovers.

What comes after E? F! Blackberry and currant flavors dominate. Rich and chewy; like most Phinney efforts, this is a big, concentrated wine. He puts his foot on the gas and doesn't let up. You need to appreciate it for what it is - a full-bodied fruit bomb. Different, albeit more fruit-forward than the E, and a good value.
