I’ve had above average Rosés from Lobo Hills in previous vintages and like their style, flavor profiles and minerality. Apparently this is my first encounter with this one so what to say? In color, it’s pale orange, excellent clarity. Flavors of strawberry, raspberry and white pepper are on point for the variety, as noted on the back label, but I also get a dried tangerine peel which makes we wonder if there’s a little Grenache in there. Good acidity, a tasty wine with yes, a mineral finish and some skin astringency expressed as a mild tactile tongue coating, rather nice actually. Not easy to find but a good take on using Washington state fruit for making great rosés
