Metallic dark ruby is how I would describe the colour. Aromas of stewed fruits - rhubarb and plum as well as mineral gravelly notes. On the palate red fruits with substance and structure of medium intensity. Resolved Tannins. Quite a good Pinot probably drinking close to its peak.

A bit of licorice/caramel oak character upon opening, which may contribute its bitterness as well, but ultimately this is delicate and fragrant, with lots of spice character.

Bright fruit, great balance and good acidity. Doesn't have the the stronger structure that his other sites do, but still very good and fun to drink. These 2011's have all been great.
