Cabernet Sauvignon

This approachable on opening. It’s a muscular cab with some rustic/brambly notes on the palate. The fruit is dark, there is some tobacco and spice as well. The nose is a bit bretty but I suspect that will blow off.

Pretty good. I'd say 9.0 at this point. Pretty heavily vanilla and oak influenced. Rich red fruits.. cranberry, raspberry, turning to blueberry. Touch of roasted herbs on the midpalate and finish. Medium (-) tannins and acidity.. think medium-bodied caymus without the syrupy texture for a lot less dough.

This is one of those bottles that makes you realize how epic California Cabernet can be!

Semi full body wine. Good wine for the money.

Dinner in Savannah. Owner/waiter served an incredible chanterelle mushroom appetizer for a perfect pairing with this wine.
