Dark purple in the glass, slightly clinging color. Full nose of baked plums and graphite (some Merlot in the mix?). Firm tannins introduce a palate of dark fruit, toasted pie crust, and graphite. Long dusty finish with tannins present throughout. A traditional, Old World Cahors, not to be confused with their more fruit forward Vin de France Malbec. Demands rich Mediterranean or similar cuisine.
