Lioco
Lolonis Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc

A Sancerre-ish style Sauv Blanc. Like the acid driven, mineral bent. Good but not great. Nevertheless refreshing.

High acid, tense SB, appears to gain its weight from lees contact. Textural, very mineral, Bartlett pear skin, honeydew, lime zest, mint, verbena. Very zippy and mouthwatering. You could argue it’s almost too lean, but I love the crushed rock and lazer-like acid this has.

Purchased on our honeymoon! Pale yellow with green hues in the color, with a pronounced nose of wet stone, fresh cut yellow apple and pear with subtle notes of honeysuckle, toasted brioche and vanilla. The palate has champagne like qualities, with golden stone fruits, a pronounced acidity, and a slightly “zesty” feeling on the tongue, with a mineral driven finish and notes of yeast/bread throughout. Good sav blanc, great memories.

Very tart, bright lemon color. Delicious. No grass but lots of citrus, green apple. Really good.
