very nicely balanced with the red fruit up front. opened up more after an hour. Would be perfect with a grilled steak but went fine with our pizza also.

Great nose with hints of cocoa, red raspberry fruit with subdued sweetness, well integrated tannins with a nice acid finish that last for over a minute. I've possibly underrated this. Years ago Matt opened a ton of older bottles for a group of us during a winery visit and I have to believe this has time left in the tank.

The saturated crimson '08 Linne Calodo Zinfandel Blend 'Cherry Red' scents the nose with notes of black cherry, raspberry, tar and baking spices. Sweet-tart red fruit and black licorice flavors then emerge on the palate. Some dusty tannins brace the back of the tongue before finishing with impressive clarity and finesse.

The sweet juicy palate of sappy red fruit is quite focused with fine tannins. The concentrated flavors lead to a lengthy, pleasant finish. Very satisfying!
