Mellowing with age, showing dark plum and black fruit in the nose with hints of minerality. On the palate, ripe plum and dark berry fruits with hints of cocoa powder and perhaps coffee. Tannins are modest, acid is a touch low. Very pleasant to sip.

Tasted side by side with Boisseau 2010. Was prepared to like 2012 better on the basis of vintages, but I greatly prefer the Left Bank style 2010 to the Right Bank style 2012. Cherries and red plums, dusty tannins, nice lengthy finish.

Very ripe cassis and plum but not cooked, rich on the palate with copious fine tannins. I love the structure. High alcohol but well balanced.

2014 tasted in 11/2018. Tints deep, dark red, has the appearance of a bold ripe red but the nose is more austere, peppery, herbaceous, definitely a cool weather red. And an interesting blend, almost equally cab franc, petit Verdot, Merlot, and cab sauv. Bright acidity, tart plums and cherries, supple tannins, average alcohol. Complex and very pleasant to sip on.
