A hint of oaky taste. A nice sweet and sour with a smooth finish.

Ruby in color with a wide brick rim and medium intensity.

Fruity nose of blueberries, black currants, vegetables, earth, cloves, nutmeg, light barnyard, wood, strawberries, spices, pencil lead and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, oak, earth, coffee, chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.

Short finish with soft tannins.

This Australian Merlot is simple and almost balanced, yet drinkable. Good right out of the bottle with a nice, soft mouthfeel. Not luxurious but not intrusive either.

Resembles their Cabernet Sauvignon, if I remember correctly. (Maybe a little softer.)

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish/brick rim.

On the nose, blackberries, black currants, cherries, plums, cloves, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, coffee, earth, spices and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long thin legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, licorice, oak, cherries, plums, dirt, spices, chocolates, mocha and black pepper.

Medium finish with round tannins and tart cherries.

A very drinkable bulk wine from Australia, at a great price point. Good party wine and good right out of the bottle.

Simple and a little off balance, but better now, while still young, then later. Much better than the 2013 vintage.

Dependably good good wine from this label. I do love a bit of chocolate with my reds. 😀
