Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend
Vacqueyras, Southern Rhône, Rhône, France
Blend of Grenache and Syrah. Medium ruby color. Aromas and flavors of dark berry and plum fruit along with notes of violets, cedar, smoke, mild spices, leather and dusty herbs. A bit short on the meaty finish and not overly complex but still quite drinkable. Smooth tannins, but just a bit sharp as the alcohol is front and center. Quite flavorful, bright and fruit forward. Excellent QPR.
