I love wines blended by Philippe Cambie! He is often nicknamed "the nose of Chateauneuf-du-Pape" for his talent in bringing the best of a vineyard to a blend. This wine is mostly Grenache (80%) with Mourvèdre(20%) to deepen the wine. Gentle extraction and manual "pigeage" during fermentation befor the wine is aged in concrete for one year. It had a dark color with a ruby rim, a nose of black cherries intertwined with garrigue. The palate got darker with leather and spice. A big finish!
