First night, I thought this was carbonic. Fruit seemed light and ripe. Second night was a huge difference. Classic Northern Rhone Syrah: Olive tapenade, beef jerky, dark chocolate finish. Full bodied and tannic.

An extremely green offering, rich in pyrazines. Lots of vegetal and green bell pepper notes.

One of the ‘rockiest’ sips I’ve ever had was a Dard & Ribo. So good! I also just made 0/0 syrah in a garbage can in my laundry room. This bottle reminded me most of the latter… unmistakably syrah, but with a rawness that was a bit much, even for me. A fun sip of sauvage, but for the $… perhaps it’s the Souhat—I’ve never made sense of those, always kinda green and discombobulated.
