A wonderful bottle of 100% Syrah out of the South Okanagan Valley in BC. This is a flagship wine and vintage for Le Vieux Pin. A bold wine, yet supple tannins and an extremely smooth mouth feel. Exceptionally balanced. Aromas of violets; red and black berry fruit, with baking spice, and black pepper on the palette. A stunner!

Fruit forward syrah with a bit of viogner for structure. Really really nice blend. The syrah is softer and silkier, presumably from barrel and bottle aging, than in the younger varieties. Great body in this wine, surprising for BC.

Great weekend in BC Canada winecountry. Really liked the syrahs from this estate, the chards from checkmate, and pinots from meyer family.

I am previledge to have a few bottles of Le Vieux Pin: Equinoxe Syrah 2009. Praised and seclared best in show in cpetition in Montreal, this BC wine has dark red, smell of dark oak and black fruit. In carafe for more then one hour brings out its smoothness, one of my dav that much is clear
