Color still pretty youthful, ripe dark fruits, but also showing some heat in the finish, solid finish, been a fan of Vieux Donjon for a very long time, but no doubt the alcoholic heat detracts just a bit. For me, another example of a 1990 southern Rhône where overripeness has won out, contrasted with the still fresh, lively and well-balanced 1989s!!

Oct 17th, 2021Medoum-dark ruby, mature aromas, similar on palate, the 1990s with their ripeness have evolved quicker than the 1988s and particularly the 1989s, very good but ready to drink.
