Le Rocher des Violettes (Xavier Weisskopf)
Touche-Mitaine Sec Chenin Blanc

Perfumey. White flowers. White pepper on the palate. Long finish.

Oct 17th, 2015I love Chenin blanc. The depth and complexity, the invigorating acidity that it is capable of is only rivalled by Riesling in my opinion. Fortunately for wine lovers, the general public just does not seem to get these wines, meaning that they are some of the best bargains you can find. This is entry level, but terrific. Floral notes and autumn fruit on the nose, a creamy sensation on the palate without losing an energetic freshness towards the end. Just really nice and harmonious.
