Le Clos du Caillou / Domaine du Caillou
Les Quartz Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend
This has it all. Nose so inviting that you don't even have to sip. Taste rich and complex. Finish long and consistent.

Nov 18th, 2016Color suggested something still kicking but was sort of thin, acidic, and one note. Probably past prime?

Jan 10th, 2017From the apogee of my Parker score based collecting years. Ugh. Still heavy and a little over extracted, but not altogether bad and showing better with some air. Just lacks the complexity and aromatics that make some of these wines great - and albeit, I have not had a great CdP since 99 - I beg u who read this to show me one. Anyway. Color still inky. Nose still fruity (but not raisiny). I think the better part of this wines life in the rear view mirror. Drink up.
