Not always the biggest fan of naked wines offerings but this is good. Aromas of gooseberry fool, touch of hay. In the mouth refreshing acidity, not complex or long but tasty hit of lime. Textbook inexpensive Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

An excellent light SB, much more grassy than citric. This is a great warm weather cocktail wine, but stood up very nicely to Vietnamese style garlic noodles, steamed artichokes with cloves and faux hollandaise sauce, and cheese quesadillas with spicy salsa. The artichoke pairing is significant because, unless grilled, artichokes make wines taste significantly sweeter, and this wine was light enough to complement such a dish perfectly.

This is an intense splash of citrus and lime, guaranteed to make you mad for Marlborough Sauv Blanc. A New Zealand wine using five different cool-climate vineyards that span the upper and lower Wairau Valley. Excellent paired with buttery scallops or fresh shellfish. Wonderful with pistachio crusted sea bass and mango coulis. Twist open, serve chilled and enjoy. – Naked Wines

Good, steady SB and one we have been enjoying as a family over the last couple months.

I couldn’t taste this one as I have a cold but Dom loved it and said it was “creamy and good”. Looking forward to trying it when I can taste again!
