2016 vintage. I want to give this wine a higher rating, because Law puts out some wonderful wines, but I’m afraid this is far from their best. cherries and rhubarb on the nose. Cherries and currents on the front of the palate and on the middle palate. And its velvety tannic structure does nothing to counter-balance the fruitiness of this wine. The finish is as brief as an ex-lover’s goodbye kiss, with just a hint—only a hint—of the marvelous limestone terroir of the of the Law Family Vineyards. If this wine were kosher it could compete successfully against Manischewitz.
