Medium ruby, the first impression of the 2017 Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is that it has seen ageing in new oak barrels. Besides delicate floral notes of violets and rose pedal, ripe red cherries, red plum and strawberries, the nose is currently dominated by marked aromas of cedar wood and vanilla. On the palate, this elegant Oregon Pinot showcases ripe and fine-grained tannins, medium body and a clean, juicy finish. Once the oak derived components integrate better over time, this will be a delicious wine. Drink from 2024 until 2032.
