I’m not a fan of this varietal blend but I gotta admit this is nice.

My favorite of their current releases. The Grenache fruit shines through, complimented by spices, pepper and hints of earth.

Cold November date night at home...2 inch med-rare filets, fully dressed bakers, and roast butternut....Stephan’s MGS is a brut at 15.8–but Paso blends hide the ABV with some age. Beautiful full purple with no noticeable jamminess.. med-weight, a touch of pencil, leather, tobacco oak but lovely dark, black fruit/stem fruit. Nice acid/fruit/tannin balance and a long warming finish. I’ve loved these wines and valued Stephan Assao since he walked into my retail workplace 25 years ago and tried to sell his wines. Perfect...no...but they taste so fucking good and I love them and their vision!

40% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache, 30% Syrah blend from the hand of Stephan Asseo. This (or similar) has become my go-to Steak wine. Still inky black with blackberry, leather, and pencil lead notes...no sign at all of 15.8 alcohol. Silky smooth, lively balance, and a 45 second finish. I love this wine and the way it ages. My favorite Paso producer... bar none.

Lovely nose, sweet start. This bottle loves oxygen and embraces it. The problem is it is such an easy drink that you cannot get the greatest benefit of letting it breathe. Do yourself a favor and decant it a good hour before imbibing. This went great with steaks and roasted veggies. I would rate this higher if it were modestly priced.
