Picked this up at the cellar door around 7 years ago from the excellent 2009 vintage. A great combination of cassis and black currant together with Margaret River herbaceousness. Great QPR at $40 and in the dress circle Wilyabrup area.

Was pretty closed to start with but opening up beautifully over a few days and really started to grow on me. Dark fruits, cedar, tobacco and a little violet on the nose. Became more structured and chewy the longer it was open.

Stunning cab and only $40. Massive nose and looonng finish. Just too young so I need some for 6 years from now.

I bought a couple bottles at a discounted price but to be honest, this wine is great value even at the standard price. Plums, dark berries, tobacco and a little licorice.
