Las Jaras Wines
Old Vines Mendocino County Carignane
Thrilled to be writing the first review on this wine! Pours a deep inky magenta, almost neon on the rim. Bold aromas of red and black bramble fruit and ripe Ranier cherries. Significant spice and some minerality, a touch hot on the nose despite the moderate 13%ABV. Medium+ body with bright juicy acidity, medium tannins in balance. This is a delicious, juicy, fruit-forward wine that will pair with a range of food and is so easy to drink. At $35 per bottle, this is a bit above my everyday drinking price range, but I give my sincere kudos to Mr. Burt and Mr. Wareheim for a successful maiden voyage.
