Bright golden color. Subtle peat on the nose with iodine/brine. Some oak. Bright sweetness as it hits the tongue which quickly moves towards saltiness and slight peat. The alcohol takes over with a warming and slight burning sensation as it washes down. The finish is long and warming with the smokiness of the peat taking over. Balanced yet interesting.
