Apr 15th, 2017Another dry Riesling from down under, why not?
This is lovely. Right up my alley.
Lemon, lemon zest, flowery scents, some petroly touches too. Textbook Riesling nose. The palate is acid driven, as expected, with lemony and lemon curd notes all along, some good width and a massive grip in the rear. The finish is long, lemony and zesty and goes on for a super long while, leaving a tangy aftertaste that lingers for a moment. Great stuff. Different take than the 2 hands effort I tasted some time ago, unoaked, but very good example of the varietal. Thumbs up again!
