This is a nice and easy drinking Rosé from France. Simple.
Showing raspberries, limes, lemons, grapefruits, bitter herbs, vegetables, earth and white pepper.
Medium-bodied and simple with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Not bad for a day drinker by the pool. Paired it with a baked Brie cheese.

On the palate, this is very much alive with flavors of raspberry, strawberry, maybe nectarine. Floral scents pop through as well. Make no mistake about it... This is cheap and cheerful, but the very best of cheap and cheerful. We buy this a lot. Try the red and the white as well. They are all tremendous at this price category. Perrin is a name we see a lot of in our area, and for those interested in trying the rest of their range, I encourage that. Many years ago, I used this house's wines as my introduction to the characteristic styles of the different villages in the southern Rhone. I guess that's why I feel connected to the house even in their cheaper expressions. This rose wine pairs well with so many foods with its acidity, so it makes a great go-to. Buy it by the bottle. Buy it by the box.

Feb 20th, 2021Very nice Rose, which for us has been hard to find. Surprisingly tart but not overpowering, with a smoothness as well.
