Leader-post QC: La Playa Block Selection Estate Reserve, 2009. $23.69 — It walks that fine line between New World onctueux and Old World refinement, letting both camps enjoy their glass with dinner. Great fruit, beautiful structure, lovely bouquet and a smoky astringent finish. Wonderful!
