One of the cheapest wines you can get by the glass at Eataly in downtown Chicago. but it doesn't taste cheap! delicious, smooth.

Over the past few years this has been one of the most reliable labels in our home. Tonight was no different. Fuller bodied than most sangios, it is balanced and concentrated. Not a Saturday night fancy dinner wine but one I'd open on many occasions. You can trust Mario and Joe on this one.

Earthy, Tuscan red. Acidic, great food wine. Better when it's opened up.

Sangiovese blends with Syrah and some local varieties. Inky and opaque with a ruby rim. Spice and maraschino cherry on the nose. Ripe plum, dark cherry, and more spice on the palate. Great tannins and acid with a strong finish. Terrific food wine with a variety of Italian foods (I had with pepperoni pizza). Also, was just as great the second day.

Went back to one of the first restaurants I’ve ever been to in NYC and asked for a house red. Very delighted with this wine. Great tannins, dry, nice body and on a cold NYC night this is a wonderful choice!
